Virgin Website - SEO Criticism

There's little contrast between all the red, which could make it difficult to see for people with impaired eyesight.
It's all flash, so there is no text for the search engine to detect, and blind people with screen readers will not be able to use it at all and not be able to find the 'Use HTML version' link.
The title doesn't include any keywords, so you will likely only find it if searching specifically for Virgin.
However, because Virgin is such a big company and they get a lot of hits anyway, SEO isn't such a necessity for them.

First Blog + SEO stuff

This isn't some exciting "Woo I got my blog set up!" post, because frankly, it's not all that exciting, it's just a blog.
Although I did finally get into Moodle today, which is a plus.

Search Engine Optimisation

Today Martial explain the use of meta tags and headers, and how they play a part in search engines.
We learnt how to get the best result in a search engine for our sites by best using the meta tags for keywords, descriptions and headers.

"[Meta Tags] are information inserted into the "head" area of your web pages. Other than the title tag, information in the head area of your web pages is not seen by those viewing your pages in browsers. Instead, meta information in this area is used to communicate information that a human visitor may not be concerned with. Meta tags, for example, can tell a browser what "character set" to use or whether a web page has self-rated itself in terms of adult content." - http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=2167931
